Dr. Smith is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a board certified Supervisor (LPC-S) in the state of Virginia. She is certified as a National Certified Counselor (NCC), a Board Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist Fellow (NBCCHF https://www.nbcch.com/va ) a Certified Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) as well as a certified Brainspotting practitioner (Phase 1, 2, 4; Expansion Brainspotting; Brainspotting to Heal Shame, Self-Esteem, and Imposter Syndrome; Brainspotting for Sports Performance) (https://brainspotting.com/directory/name/catherine-b-smith-lpc/). She earned her doctorate from Argosy University in Counselor Education and Supervision. Dr. Smith’s clinical and research focus includes military/veterans, sports performance, trauma/PTSD, anxiety as well as existential related concerns. Dr. Smith has presented nationally and regionally on topics such as managing anxiety, mindfulness, hypnotherapy and NLP. Dr. Smith is a Marine Corps veteran and an advocate for mental health wellness for veterans as well as for first responders. Dr. Smith also occasionally adjuncts at Mary Washington University.
Dr. Smith is currently accepting new clients for ONLY short-term treatments on a waitlist (anticipated wait 6-8 months, however length can vary) for treatments such as Hypnotherapy, EMI, Brainspotting and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP); these treatments can be conducted in 2-8 sessions as well as at the same time as you are continuing to see your primary talk-therapist.

Amani McCoy, M.A.

Amani is a recent graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) with a Master’s degree in Counselor Education with a concentration in couples & families. She is currently working toward her LPC licensure for Virginia. Amani completed her undergraduate studies at James Madison University (JMU) with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She completed her graduate internship in a school-based setting, working with children and young adults. Amani has experience working with clients dealing with: autism, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and general life transitions. She uses an integrative approach of person-centered and aspects of narrative therapy to help clients feel more in control of their lives and to achieve a greater sense of self-acceptance. She is open to working with children, adults, and couples.

Rosalynn Calderon, M.S.

Rosalynn received her Master of Science in Christian Counseling from Grand Canyon University. As an Air Force Veteran, who has served in various environments, Rosalynn believes it is important to know that you are not alone. There is someone who cares and is willing to be with you while handling life experiences. Whether you are dealing with day-to-day life adjustments, anxiety, depression, grief, communication, or marital challenges. Rosalynn offers support, encouragement, and accountability. She is willing to walk with you as you endeavor to take steps closer to your goal. Mia Meyers, M.A.

Mia received her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University, specializing in Military Families and Culture. As an Air Force Veteran, military brat, and spouse of a Marine Corps veteran, Mia believes in the importance of community advocacy and helping others find their voice. Mia's goal is to provide a non-judgemental environment, free of criticisms and negativity, in the pursuit of finding one's personal goal and developing a healthy mindset. Mia utilizes different modalities such as Hypnotherapy (certified in Neo-Ericksonian Hypnosis) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, Narrative, and mindfulness-based techniques.
Mia has also has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families with various diagnoses and concerns, such as anxiety, depression, bipolar, personality disorders, trauma, substance use, ADHD, OCD, and other co-occurring diagnoses. Mia has also worked closely with Hampton Riverside Mental Health and Recovery Center and Community-based therapy.

Julia Compher, M.A.

Julia earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University in the fall of 2024, following the completion of her undergraduate studies at Liberty, where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Christian Counseling.
She is passionate about providing an interpersonal and collaborative therapeutic experience for both adolescents and adults. Julia’s clinical approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and person-centered techniques to support clients in moving forward with clarity and purpose. She offers both in-person and telehealth sessions to accommodate client needs and preferences.
Julia has a deep personal and professional commitment to serving first responders and military families. As the spouse of a military veteran and the daughter of a career firefighter, she brings both understanding and empathy to working with these communities. She also believes in the value of involving families in the healing process and works with clients to strengthen and support family systems when appropriate.

Lisa Bollow, M.A.

Lisa earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2025 from Liberty University and brings over two decades of experience in leadership, coaching, and integrative health to her work as a therapist. She holds certifications in EMDR (Part I), Neuropsychotherapy, and advanced training in complex trauma, which support her integrative, trauma-informed approach.
Lisa is passionate about working with adults and couples navigating betrayal trauma, emotional dysregulation, shame-based procrastination, and relationship rupture. She also creates a safe, structured space for adolescents struggling with anxiety, identity, and self-worth by helping them build emotional resilience, healthy boundaries, and stronger coping skills. Lisa collaborates with caregivers when appropriate to strengthen the teen’s support system and promote lasting change.
She has a deep commitment to serving military veterans and their families. As the spouse of a veteran, she brings both clinical expertise and personal understanding to the unique transitions faced by those who serve and those who support them.
Drawing from her trauma-informed training in EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Lisa helps clients explore the roots of their patterns and develop new pathways toward healing, clarity, and connection.
Her therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and structured, providing space for clients to feel safe, supported, and empowered. Lisa also integrates neuroscience and lifestyle-based strategies, guiding clients in how nervous system regulation, brain health, and habits impact emotional well-being.

Lachelle Pittman, M.A.
Resident in Counseling/Pre-Licensed Clinician
Lachelle is a graduate of Liberty University with a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is currently working toward licensure as an LPC and has joined the practice as a remote therapist. Lachelle completed her undergraduate degree at Norfolk State University (NSU) with a Bachelor's in Sociology. Lachelle believes in using a holistic approach and integrative style of treatment that isn't limited to person-centered, CBT strategies, mindfulness practices, and solution-focused modalities. It is Lachelle's primary goal to create a safe, trusting, and non-judgmental environment that will allow you to explore difficult topics and gain greater knowledge of yourself, others, and your relationships. Lachelle has experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families with a variety of concerns and diagnoses, such as anxiety, depression, bipolar, personality disorders, trauma and co-occuring diagnoses. Heather Mazey, M.S.

Heather is a graduate of Walden University with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is currently working toward her LPC licensure and is a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor in the state of Virginia. She has over 15 years of experience as a substance abuse and co-occurring counselor and is a fully trained EMDR therapist. Heather’s areas of focus include Trauma and Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Addiction/Substance Abuse, Grief and Loss, Self-Esteem Issues, Depression, Anxiety, Life Transitions, and LGBTQIA+ Related Issues. Building upon the strength and courage it takes to seek help, Heather works with people in a collaborative manner by utilizing an eclectic approach stemming from a humanistic-existentialist perspective. Heather believes that every human being has the capacity to overcome, grow, heal, and find meaning in their lives.
